Haresh Mirpuri is the Founder and Creative Director of Aranyani. He began his journey in the clothing industry in Indonesia. He then founded a spinning mill in 1996 in India and soon became the most renowned producer of open-end yarn in all of Asia. After 20 years of mastering textiles, Haresh launched Aranyani to revitalize and redefine the luxury industry in India, as well as to spread Indian artistry and the message of sustainability around the globe.
Raphael Lombardo is a master craftsman of handmade leather bags with more than 30 years of experience, and a teacher at the Italian Filo Firenze Location and Academy in Florence, Italy. A widely respected consultant for leading Italian and international fashion brands, Raphael has been with Aranyani from its inception, bringing his Italian techniques to the company’s team of artisans. Today, he advises Aranyani on its manufacturing process, ensuring the company is in constant use of the finest materials, techniques, and technology.
Vittoria Wührer advises Aranyani on design and art direction. A passionate accessories designer, Vittoria has worked across top European brands for nearly a decade, and is highly skilled at translating brand and product strategies into attractive and desirable designs. Based in Barcelona, Vittoria oversees Aranyani’s brand aesthetic, designs, and product development, marrying the grace of Indian arts and motifs to Western silhouettes and allure.
Interning for 6 months at the Aranyani Atelier itself, Somshekhar trained first under Raphael Lombardo and then did a designing course at Arsutoria School, Milan and a visual merchandising course at Istituto Marangoni, London. Currently, he spearheads the Sales, Merchandising, PR and the Campaign Shoots for the brand.
An experienced retailer, with over 25 years experience (gained in the UK and other International markets), Lisa has worked with multiple premium and luxury brands. Joining Aranyani this past year, Lisa heads up the retail arm of the brand.
